To preserve the natural beauty of the surrounding environment, the developer of The Woodlands chose to maintain an average lot size of 2+ acres. All lots are heavily wooded allowing the residents to enjoy home sites that blend into the natural mountain environment of Hemlocks, Hardwoods, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel, Flaming Azalea, unique rock outcroppings and scenic streams. Long-range views of Phoenix Mountain, Mount Rogers and others are seen from some of the Lots. The protective covenants of The Woodlands limits the number of trees cut on each Lot, so privacy and seclusion can be maintained for all homeowners. The Lots have no building-time restrictions, allowing you to build when the time is right for you. The lots within the first phase were reserved, sold or under contract within a year from release. So, future lots may not last long. The second phase lots were released in June of 2008. This phase will have the best creek lots available in The Woodlands. There are flat lots which border creeks with small waterfalls. The creeks make plenty of noise for those who enjoy listening to nature. The third phase was released in January of 2009. This phase will offer some great laying lots with excellent, long range views, some as distant as White Top and Mt. Rogers in Virginia.
